Getting here
How far is Sweetfun from Ruifang Station?
About a five-minute walk — 450 metres — from TRA Ruifang Station. Ruifang is the transfer station for the Pingxi Line, so Houtong, Shifen, Pingxi and Jingtong all mean changing trains here.
How do I walk there from Ruifang Station?
Leave by the front exit, pass the civic plaza onto Mingdeng Road Section 3, then follow Zhongshan Road to Jieshou Bridge. Cross it, turn right just before the first street lamp, and take the steps down to the river. Flat the whole way.
Can I drive right up to the door?
No. Our entrance opens onto the riverside walkway along the Keelung River, so cars cannot reach the door. Park nearby and walk in. If you have heavy luggage, drop your companions at the bridge first.
Where can I park?
Two options. There is white- and yellow-line street parking near Sanzhua Fude Temple on Zhongshan Road, about five minutes' walk, though spaces are not guaranteed. The Ruifang multi-storey car park is about ten minutes' walk and far more reliable.
How much does the multi-storey car park cost?
NT$20 per hour on weekdays, capped at NT$150 a day; NT$30 per hour at weekends, capped at NT$200. From the car park it is roughly a ten-minute walk to us.
Is Jiufen easy to reach from here?
About eleven minutes by car, or roughly fifteen minutes to Jiufen Old Street by bus plus a short walk. The bus stop is close by, so there is no need to return to Taipei or change several times.
What about the Pingxi Line — Shifen and Jingtong?
Straightforward. Shifen, Pingxi, Jingtong and Houtong all mean changing to the Pingxi Line at Ruifang. Staying here puts you beside the interchange, so the day doesn't start with a trip out from Taipei.
On the day
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is by 11am the following morning. If your train times don't line up, leave your luggage with us rather than carrying it around town.
Can I drop my bags off early?
Yes. You are welcome to leave luggage in the ground-floor common area both before check-in and after check-out, at no charge — so an early arrival or a late departure can be spent hands-free.
Is breakfast included? What is there to eat nearby?
We don't serve meals. McDonald's is about five minutes on foot, Mingdeng Road has breakfast shops and cafés, and the Ruifang Food Court is just across the bridge. All within walking distance.
How many rooms are there, and how many people fit?
Six rooms: 101 River View Quad Room, 102 Wabi-sabi Double Room, 201 River View Double Room, 202 Wabi-sabi Quad Room, 301 River View Double Room and 302 Skylight Double Room — four doubles and two quads.
Is there anywhere nearby for a walk?
The Longchuan riverside trail is directly opposite us, running along the Keelung River — good early in the morning or at dusk. Cross back over the bridge and you're in Ruifang town, with everything within walking distance.
Before you book
Are pets allowed?
We're sorry — Sweetfun does not accept pets, in the rooms or the common areas. If you are travelling with one, you'll need to arrange a pet hotel separately.
Can I smoke in the room?
Smoking is not permitted anywhere indoors, including the rooms, corridors and common areas. Smoking indoors incurs a NT$3,000 cleaning charge.
What is the cancellation policy?
Booking direct through this site or LINE: cancel three or more days ahead and the deposit is refunded in full; within three days it is not refundable. If you booked through a travel platform, that platform's terms apply.
Are toothbrushes and toothpaste provided?
We don't provide disposable toothbrushes or toothpaste, so please bring your own. Chatzutang shampoo and body wash are supplied, so there's no need to pack those.
Do you clean the room between nights?
During a multi-night stay we don't enter to clean, and we don't change the sheets or towels. It keeps unnecessary washing down — if you need anything replenished, just tell us.
